easter day

Easter Day, chilly , cold, and windy - but inside around the table, the Ham with thyme and maple syrup glaze was devoured, the whipped potatoes with chives snapped up, the carrot cake splendid, the company of family a treasure. Only one misbehaving cat, attacking the two visiting dogs. I hope you had a wonderful Easter Day as well!

We had a great Easter day -- loved your pictures! I may have to rethink my Easter dessert next year -- those little marzipan carrots . . .

So happy you had a great Easter, Martha! And, as usual, the carrot tops got rushed in the making...maybe next year I'll finally do that elaborate "garden" but I'm beginning to doubt it! Every one seems to come all at once, and things get rushed :)

ennbee - isn't it sooooo good?! Delighted you made the rolls, too - the 18 rolls I made for Easter were gone in a flash! Those will stay on the Easter menu, but the kids turn their nose up at soup. Oh well, more for me!

Hi Katrina ~ Love your Easter pictures! That cake is so cute, and I love that you get to pull out the carrots - what a fun idea for little & 'big' kids!

How were the Baked Grape Tomatoes?

Hi Barb! Hope you had a great Easter Day as well! This year everyone just gobbled the cake - including Izzie. Boy, they tasted great with the cake!
The roasted grape tomatoes were a little too garlicy for my taste, but I'm going to fiddle with the recipe some more. For my tastebuds, they needed something else - but loved the way they "popped" as you bit into a forkful of two or three tomatoes. Exquisite. Thanks for coming by, as always!
